Committed to Accessible Play

Our Mission Is to Provide Play for All!

Kidzu believes that a children’s museum serves as an integral community hub for children, families and those who care about them. Children’s museums level the playing field, with inclusivity at the core of their philosophy. At Kidzu every child is valued, every family is welcome and diversity is celebrated.

What We Offer

Reduced Admission

We’re a Museum for All! Admission rates are discounted for EBT/SNAP cardholders.

Free Programs

Thanks to ILMS and other gracious donors, we offer free outdoor programming!

Pay What You Can Days

On the first Sunday of each month, admission fees are waived and entry is based on donations.

Adaptive Play Nights

On the third Thursday of each month, we’ve teamed up with the City of Chapel Hill to offer exclusive use of the museum to families of children with special needs. Pre-registration is required.

Cool Down Kits

When things get overwhelming, pick up a Cool Down Kit at the front desk. They include items like headphones, fidget toys, sand timers, weighted neck wraps, bubbles, and more!

Blue Star Museum

We’re proud to offer free admission to active duty military members and their families Memorial Day through Labor Day as a part of the Blue Star Museums initiative.
